I find it very offensive for Glenn Beck to be scrolling the message Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead on the bottom of the screen during the interview with Ron Paul.

I think he should make it clear that he wishes no ill will to Dr. Ron Paul. His interview I thought was fair on the surface but he did take the interview into the typical conspiracy camp.

I would like to know why this guy Huckabee thought it appropriate to make this statement that was scrolling by during this interview? Ron Paul was right in that the threat of Theocons taking over the government is a serious threat to our nation. In his statement of earlier in the day he seemed a bit tired and un focused when he was hit with these off Fauxian questions.

I might add that Paul was talking about domestic threats to our nation at the moment that Huckabee's death to Paul comments are scrolling by in this video.

The subliminals are pretty obvious to most any trained observer.
I am quite disgusted with Beck for this. I am pretty much disgusted with Huckabee for his statements as well but that is politics. It is a dirty game. Here is the video.

Russia threatens to target US missile shield

Russia has threatened to target two proposed American bases in Europe with its nuclear missiles if the Pentagon pressed ahead with its plans for a missile defence shield.

In an escalation of the Cold War-style threats favoured by President Vladimir Putin, the general in charge of Russia's ballistic arsenal said that he could target the bases in Poland and the Czech Republic that will host the missile-interceptor shield if America insists on building them.

"I do not exclude the missile-defence shield sites in Poland and the Czech Republic being chosen as targets for some of our intercontinental ballistic missiles," said Gen Nikolai Solovtsov.

America insists that its new shield will carry only a few missiles, designed to intercept warheads fired from rogue states, such as Iran.

But Gen Solovtsov dismissed that concept as a lie, claiming that America was determined to surround Russia with its military might.

"If the Americans signed a treaty with us that they would only deploy 10 anti-missile rockets in Poland and one radar in the Czech Republic and will never put anything else there, then we could deal with this," he said. "However they won't sign, they just tell us verbally, 'We won't threaten you'."

An 83-year-old George H. W. Bush apparently made what could be his last pilgrimage to Skull and Bones over the weekend when he purportedly paid a visit to the tomb and rekindled his loyalty with the secret society death cult for the first time in nearly 10 years.

Skull and Bones is a secret society based at Yale University which recruits just fifteen members a year. The vast majority of its members have gone on to occupy positions of high power and influence.

The practices of Bonesmen have been scoffed at by the establishment as frat boy tomfoolery for decades but robbing graves, kissing skulls, masturbating in coffins and performing mock sacrifices is exactly the kind of behavior you'd expect from an Ed Gein or Charlie Manson, and not the people with their finger on the nuclear button.

Bush was in New Haven this weekend to pick up an award but according to eyewitnesses who saw special furniture and tables being unloaded outside the tomb, he was also likely guest of honor for Skull and Bones.

"Famously absent from Boner bashes in recent years (last appearance we can confirm was in 1998), all signs point to the 83-year-old Bush Sr. as guest of honor at the Bones' latest homoerotic leather-daddy Satan-worship, or ritualized flag-burning, or whatever strange and magical things they do in those windowless buildings on High Street. Obviously, the Bonesmen declined to comment on this story," reports Ivygate.com.

Skull and Bones came back into focus during the 2004 presidential election when both Kerry and Bush were coy about discussing their membership of the group. Members are told that even talking about Skull and Bones is a cardinal sin and many have been known to immediately leave the room when the subject is raised.

A 2001 ABC News report featured footage from a Skull and Bones initiation ritual performed inside the courtyard of the tomb and showed members running around screaming, kissing skulls and performing mock sacrifices.

Of course it was all dismissed as harmless fun but I'm sure there are many who would have reservations about letting people who masturbate in coffins baby sit their children, never mind shape the destiny of the world.

Of course the fact that future world leaders like to dress up like Klan members, letting fly blood-curdling screams as they slash imaginary victims' throats before kissing skulls and the fact that those same future world leaders then preside over the deaths of untold millions in brutal wars is nothing to worry about and we should all just forget about it and get back to watching America's Got Talent.

Knife At Lunch Gets 10-Year-Old Girl Arrested At School

OCALA, Fla. -- A 10-year old Ocala girl brought her lunch to school and a small kitchen knife to cut it. She now faces a felony charge after being arrested. The school and the sheriff's office disagree on the reason for the arrest.

School officials say the 5th grader was brown-bagging it. She brought a piece of steak for her lunch, but she also brought a steak knife. That's when deputies were called.

It happened in the cafeteria at Sunrise Elementary School. The 10-year-old used the knife to cut the meat.

"She did not use it inappropriately. She did not threaten anyone with it. She didn't pull it out and brandish it. Nothing of that nature," explained Marion County School Spokesman Kevin Christian.

But a couple of teachers took the utensil and called the sheriff. When deputies arrived, they were unable to get the child's parents on the phone, so they arrested her and took her to the county's juvenile assessment center.

"And we didn't handcuff her or treat her like a criminal. But, we took her to the assessment center to be assessed," said Capt. James Pogue, Marion County Sheriff's Office.

School officials said it doesn't matter what the knife was being used for. They said they had no choice.

"Anytime there's a weapon on campus, yes, we have to report it and we aggressively report it because we don't want to take any chances, regardless," Christian said.

But the sheriff's office said the extreme measures in what some may say was a harmless incident had to do with school policy, not theirs.

"But once we're notified, we have to take some type of action," Pogue explained.

The student now faces a felony charge for the possession of a weapon on school property and the principal suspended her for ten days. The parents of the girl could not be reached for comment.

The sheriff's office has turned the case over to the State Attorney's Office.

Putin Agrees to Be Protégé’s Prime Minister

MOSCOW — President Vladimir V. Putin said Monday that he intended to become prime minister next year, ensuring his dominance of the Russian government even after his term ends.

Mr. Putin told a meeting of his party, United Russia, that he had accepted an offer from his close aide, Dmitri A. Medvedev to move to the prime minister’s office if Mr. Medvedev wins the presidency in March, which is highly likely.

“If our people will trust Mr. Medvedev and elect him the new president of the Russian federation, I will be prepared to continue our joint work — in this case, in the position of premier of the government,” Mr. Putin said.

The announcement ends a carefully choreographed power transition that began in October, when Mr. Putin first suggested that he would find a way to retain influence after his term ended, and culminated last week when he endorsed Mr. Medvedev for the presidency, and Mr. Medvedev in turn said he wanted Mr. Putin to be prime minister.

Mr. Putin in his speech called Mr. Medvedev — who is a first deputy prime minister and chairman of Gazprom, the Russian gas monopoly — “an exceptionally honest, decent man.”

“We should not be ashamed or frightened to deliver the main levers of control over the country, the fate of Russia, into the hands of a man like him,” Mr. Putin said.

Mr. Putin cannot run for a third consecutive presidential term because of constitutional term limits, which he has vowed not to change.

But the move on Monday raised the prospect that at some point in Mr. Medvedev’s term, Mr. Medvedev could step down, which would propel Mr. Putin, as prime minister, back to the presidency. A special presidential election would then be held, in which Mr. Putin could run.

The president is far more powerful in Russia than the prime minister, but Mr. Putin said Monday that he would not seek to change the formal authority of either office.

Still, given that Mr. Medvedev has never held an elected office and has spent almost his entire career as Mr. Putin’s deputy, it seems highly likely that after the election, Mr. Putin will continue to be the de facto, if not the formal, head of Russia.

Such arrangement, though, is unprecedented in Russian history, and some experts warned that power in Russia has traditionally flowed from the office, not the personality. While Mr. Putin may be the more influential figure, Mr. Medvedev will control the armed forces, the security services and other critical parts of the government.

Jesuits settle suit over Los Gatos priest who killed himself

Father Jim Chevedden was already mentally fragile when another Jesuit allegedly molested him. But it was his superiors forcing Chevedden to live in the same building as his accused abuser that led him to leap off a sixth-story San Jose garage, his family said, committing suicide on his 56th birthday.

"That's the last place you want someone with psychological problems," his brother John Chevedden said, "living with the person he said sexually assaulted him."

Last week, the Jesuits settled a wrongful-death suit with the Chevedden family for $1.6 million. However, Jesuit officials said the settlement was an offer of "closure," not an admission of culpability.

"Father Chevedden had a diagnosed severe mental illness that was at the core of the health struggles in his life," said Father John McGarry, head of the Jesuits' California province. "We did our best to take care of him."

Chevedden's accused abuser already had a troubled past. Charles Connor was one of two Jesuits convicted of molesting mentally retarded dishwashers at the center. In 2002, the religious order paid a $7.5 million settlement on that case.

Chevedden's accusations were never substantiated, said McGarry, who declined to let the Mercury News interview Connor. The octogenarian Connor, like several accused local Jesuits, lives at the Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos.

"Brother Connor is very elderly and unable to talk," McGarry said. "This settlement is not about sexual abuse. It's about the tragic loss of Father Jim Chevedden."

To the Chevedden family, the two are related.

Jim Chevedden knew early on he wanted to be a priest, reading missionary magazines while other boys thumbed through National Geographic. He entered the priesthood after graduating from a Jesuit high school in Los Angeles.

He suffered a mental breakdown after living alone for years in a rural section of Taiwan, said his twin brother, Paul Chevedden. He went back to the United States, and eventually to the Sacred Heart center.

The center, perched on a ridge overlooking Los Gatos, is where elderly Jesuits retire - and broken ones go for help. It's also where those accused of sexual misconduct are sent.

McGarry would not say how many of the center's current 65 residents have allegations against them or how much the province has paid in settlements since 2002, when the church sex scandal exploded nationwide.

Paul Chevedden says the facility never properly helped his brother and in 1998 he jumped off a scaffolding, fracturing both feet during an attempted suicide. While recovering in the infirmary, the family alleged, Connor pushed Chevedden's wheelchair and one day groped his genitals.

Chevedden didn't immediately tell his superiors, said his older brother, John Chevedden. But in 2002, when he heard Connor was moving back to the center, he told his superiors what happened and asked to be transferred. Leaders said they found no evidence of abuse.

The Cheveddens said their brother kept them apprised but Paul Chevedden suspects "the tragic thing was he always attempted to conceal the intensity of the difficulties he was going through, to protect the order, unfortunately."

The brothers said if Chevedden had known about Connor's history, he could have avoided him from the start - complaints against Connor stretch back to 1995, according to the lawsuit.

They said the center openly admits who is recovering from alcoholism so others could keep an eye on them; they wonder why the same wasn't done for the priests with sexual misconduct allegations.

McGarry said the center is monitored. "The leadership at this place was very aware of Brother Connor's situation. I think it's important to respect his privacy."

The center is the province's only health care facility, he said, so it had to accommodate both Connor and Chevedden. The two lived in the same building, but he was unsure if they were housed in same wing.

As Chevedden appealed for transfers, his siblings fretted over his limited options. He faithfully lived his sacred vows - poverty, chastity and obedience - and couldn't easily rebel against his superiors' orders to stay in Los Gatos.

"I don't know of any way he could have left and still been a priest," John Chevedden said.

"It was the obedience that was foremost on his mind. They forced him to live with his attacker," Paul Chevedden said. "He was a committed priest."

Paul Chevedden believed the Jesuits would eventually do right by his brother. He said he stopped believing on May 19, 2004 - their shared birthday and the day his brother jumped. In a bizarre coincidence, Jim Chevedden had jury duty that day. The priest that drove him to downtown San Jose was another accused child molester.

Ron Paul Smashes Record With $6 Million Plus Haul

Expect hit pieces to go into overdrive as media tries to spin momentous day

Ron Paul has smashed the all-time record for political donations on one day, beating John Kerry's previous effort as he hauled in over $6 million dollars during a 24-hour period that coincided with the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The true figure could even tally up to near $7 million once all donations have been fully processed.

As of 12 Midnight EST, Paul campaign headquarters confirmed the total to be over $6 million while others had the figure at around $6.4 million. That total just represents processed credit card donations. The final total is likely to be closer to $7 million once checks, Paypal e-checks, and money orders are fully processed.

At 6am CST, several news agencies such as Reuters were still reporting that Paul had raised just $4.5 million, which is a little odd considering the fact that writers are employed around the clock.

Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton confirmed that the average donation was around $50 dollars. Over 107,000 individual donors contributed to the sum of almost $18 million for the quarter and counting.

The Congressman is on course to quadruple his fundraising in comparison to the $5.1 million raised during the third quarter which itself was a doubling of the second quarter total.

We now expect the media spin machine to go into overdrive and hit pieces to swarm in the final week before Christmas.

An early CNN report on the record breaking fundraiser still sardonically refers to Paul as a "long shot" and fails to underline the true significance of yesterday's watershed and history making events.

AT&T engineer says Bush Administration sought to implement domestic spying within two weeks of taking office

Nearly 1,300 words into Sunday's New York Times article revealing new details of the National Security Agency's domestic eavesdropping program, the lawyer for an AT&T engineer alleges that "within two weeks of taking office, the Bush administration was planning a comprehensive effort of spying on Americans’ phone usage.”

In a New Jersey federal court case, the engineer claims that AT&T sought to create a phone center that would give the NSA access to "all the global phone and e-mail traffic that ran through" a New Jersey network hub.

The former AT&T employee, who spoke on condition of anonymity to the Times said he took part in several discussions with agency officials about the plan.

"The officials, he said, discussed ways to duplicate the Bedminster system in Maryland so the agency “could listen in” with unfettered access to communications that it believed had intelligence value and store them for later review," Times reporters Eric Lichtblau, James Risen and Scott Shane wrote. "There was no discussion of limiting the monitoring to international communications, he said."

“At some point,” he told the paper, “I started feeling something isn’t right.”

"Two other AT&T employees who worked on the proposal discounted his claims, saying in interviews that the project had simply sought to improve the N.S.A.’s internal communications systems and was never designed to allow the agency access to outside communications."

AT&T's spokesman said they didn't comment on national security matters, as did a spokesman for Qwest, which was also approached but apparently rebuffed the plan. The lawyer for the engineer and others in the New Jersey case says AT&T's internal documents would vindicate his clients.

“What he saw,” Bruce Afran, a New Jersey lawyer representing the plaintiffs, told the Times, “was decisive evidence that within two weeks of taking office, the Bush administration was planning a comprehensive effort of spying on Americans’ phone usage.”

A small group of US experts stubbornly insist that, contrary to what the vast majority of their colleagues believe, humans may not be responsible for the warming of the planet Earth.

These experts believe that global warming is a natural phenomenon, and they point to reams of data they say supports their assertions.

These conclusions are in sharp contradiction to those of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which reached its conclusions using largely similar data.

The UN body of about 3,000 experts, including several renown US scientists, jointly won the award with former US vice president Al Gore for their work to raise awareness about the disastrous consequences of global warming.

In mid-November the IPCC adopted a landmark report stating that the evidence of a human role in the warming of the planet was now "unequivocal."

Retreating glaciers and loss of snow in Alpine regions, thinning Arctic summer sea ice and thawing permafrost shows that climate change is already on the march, the report said.

Carbon pollution, emitted especially by the burning of oil, gas and coal, traps heat from the Sun, thus warming the Earth's surface and inflicting changes to weather systems.

Forget Evian or Vitaminwater. The latest beverage trend: 'Holy Water.'

You need only go back to the first chapter of Genesis to see how elemental water is to the observance of faith: "And the Spirit of God," the Bible says, "moved upon the face of the waters." In the Torah, water is used to ordain priests and to purify the sons of Aaron before they enter the temple. In the New Testament, John baptizes Jesus with water from the Jordan River. Observant Muslims wash hands and feet before they pray, orthodox Jewish women take ritual baths once a month—and every Christian denomination still uses water as part of its sacred rites. Mormons, when they take the weekly sacrament, drink water instead of wine.

So it's not surprising that a few savvy marketers would seize on this universal symbol of purity for financial gain. Inspired, perhaps, by vitamin and energy waters, a number of new companies have begun making more explicit claims: their water doesn't just promote good health, it actually makes you good. Holy Drinking Water, produced by a California-based company called Wayne Enterprises, is blessed in the warehouse by an Anglican or Roman Catholic priest (after a thorough background check). Like a crucifix or a rosary, a bottle of Holy Drinking Water is a daily reminder to be kind to others, says Brian Germann, Wayne's CEO. Another company makes Liquid OM, superpurified bottled water containing vibrations that promote a positive outlook. Invented by Kenny Mazursky, a sound therapist in Chicago, the water purportedly possesses an energy field that Mazursky makes by striking a giant gong and Tibetan bowls in its vicinity. He says the good energy can be felt not just after you drink the water but before, when you're holding the bottle.

The most recent entry in this niche is Spiritual Water. It's purified municipal water, sold with 10 different Christian labels. The Virgin Mary bottle, for example, has the Hail Mary prayer printed on the back in English and Spanish. Spiritual Water helps people to "stay focused, believe in yourself and believe in God," says Elicko Taieb, the Florida-based company's founder who was formerly in the pest-control business. All three companies give a portion of their profits to charity.

This small band of feel-good entrepreneurs may face objections from a surprising quarter. Some religious believers, also convinced of the elemental importance of water, are campaigning against its ubiquitous sale and packaging on the grounds that the practice is neither ethical nor good for the environment. "Water is life," says Sister Mary Zirbes, a nun in the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minn. "It really should not be a commodity to be bought." The Franciscan Sisters, together with a community of Benedictine nuns nearby, have launched a letter-writing campaign against the largest producers of bottled water and they've designed coasters to encourage people to drink glasses, not bottles, of water from the tap. The Vineyard church in Boise, Idaho, sells slim reusable plastic bottles in its bookstore, and it has placed water stations throughout the church. "In a world where a billion people have no reliable source of drinking water, where 3,000 children die every day of waterborne diseases, let's be clear: bottled water is not a sin, but it sure is a choice," says Richard Cizik of the National Association of Evangelicals. "Spending $15 billion a year on bottled water is a testimony to our conspicuous consumption, our culture of indulgence." Taieb calmly refutes the implication that his Spiritual Water is bad for the planet. People put fewer of his bottles in the trash, he says, because they don't want to discard images of Jesus or Mary. Instead, they refill them with other beverages. Obviously, even do-gooders can disagree. Some believe that water is life, while others believe that water is their livelihood.

Greenspan Says Odds of Recession in U.S. Are `Clearly Rising'

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the risk of a U.S. recession is increasing and that economic growth is ``getting close to stall speed.''

While it's too soon to say a recession is coming, ``the odds are clearly rising,'' he said in an interview with National Public Radio yesterday. Excerpts of the conversation were published on the network's Web site.

The U.S. economic expansion, which began in 2001, is cooling after a third-quarter surge as the housing slump enters its third year and consumer spending slows. Martin Feldstein, head of the National Bureau of Economic Research, which is responsible for dating U.S. economic cycles, and former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers are among those also raising the prospect of a downturn.

Greenspan, 81, left the Fed in January last year after almost two decades at the helm of the world's most powerful central bank. He has returned to his role as a private sector economic forecaster, speaking at conferences and to groups of bankers and investors. On Nov. 7, he told a conference in Sao Paolo that the chances of a recession were ``less than 50-50.''

Predictions that the six-year expansion is coming to an end have been countered by Allan Meltzer, professor of political economy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Meltzer's case was strengthened yesterday by a Commerce Department report showing retail sales rose 1.2 percent in November, twice as much as economists anticipated.

Meltzer's Outlook

``We should still see reasonable sales growth and no recession,'' Meltzer, also a Fed historian, said in a telephone interview after the report. ``It's quite reasonable to expect high energy prices will slow business investment and, eventually, consumer spending, but people are working, the unemployment rate is low and Christmas is Christmas.''

Greenspan defended his record as a policy maker in a Wall Street Journal editorial on Dec. 12, saying that lowering the Fed's target interest rate to 1 percent in 2003 didn't have a major impact on demand for homes with adjustable-rate mortgages. Meltzer said later the same day that the former chairman ``lets himself off much too easy.''

Principal Tells Teachers To Dumb-Down Standards

Have teachers at an East Harlem school been ordered to lower their standards because many students there are poor?

That's the impression some got from their principal's memo.

And now City Hall has stepped in.

The weather was gloomy Thursday outside Central Park East High School, but the talk was about a controversial memo from the school's principal.

"I don't think he thinks we're dumb," 12th grader Crystal Scarlett said. "He just thinks we can do much better than we're doing."

But not everyone agreed.

Last month, Principal Bennett Lieberman sent off a stern memo to teachers.

"If you are not passing more than 65 percent of your students in a class, then you are not designing your expectations to meet their abilities, and you are setting your students up for failure, which, in turn, limits your success as a professional."

Was he ordering teachers to dumb down their classes?

The memo continued:

"Most of our students come from the lowest third percentile in academic achievement, have difficult home lives, and struggle with life in general. They DO NOT have a similar upbringing nor a similar school experience to our experiences growing up."

Some students took offense.

"That's not the way to pass," 12th grader Richard Palacios said. "That's not the way to get your education, so you're basically cheating yourself."

Russia, Iran 'agree nuclear deal'

Russia and Iran have agreed a schedule for finishing building the Bushehr nuclear plant, reports from Russia say.

"Difficulties with the Iranian client are resolved and we have agreement on the timetable for construction," said the state contractor, Atomstroieksport.

The company's president said details would be released later this month.

Work by engineers on the plant has been dogged by delays. Russia says Iran is behind on payments, but Iran says work has been stalled for political reasons.

The US and its European allies on the UN Security Council have been pushing for tougher UN sanctions because of Tehran's refusal to end uranium enrichment.

However, correspondents say last week's US National Intelligence Estimate on Iran, which said the country had halted its nuclear weapons programme in 2003, has raised questions about the need for new measures.

Fuel delivery

Iran's nuclear programme began in 1974 with plans to build a nuclear power station near the south-western port of Bushehr with German assistance.

The project was abandoned because of the Islamic revolution five years later, but revived in 1992 when Tehran signed an agreement with Russia to resume work at the site.

There are two pressurised water reactors at the site, one of which is reportedly near completion and likely to be the first major Iranian reactor to go on stream.

Speaking shortly before the Russian and Iranian foreign ministers were scheduled to meet in Moscow, Atomstroieksport president Sergei Shmatko announced that the two countries had agreed to complete building the $1bn (£490m) plant at Bushehr.

"Difficulties with the Iranian client are resolved and we have agreement on the timetable for construction. I shall call it more precisely at the end of December," he said.

Mr Shmatko said the controversial delivery of nuclear fuel, after which the plant could begin operating within six months, would go ahead, although he again did not say when.

"We absolutely, definitely intend to build the Bushehr atomic power station and intend definitely to deliver the fuel to the plant," he stressed.

He also raised the prospect of a joint Russian-Iranian venture to "ensure security" at the plant, the RIA-Novosti agency reported.

Brown signs EU Treaty as experts warn Britain will surrender control of immigration

Gordon Brown will later today put pen to paper on the EU Treaty, despite new evidence which shows the controversial document will surrender almost all control of Britain's immigration.

Buried in the Treaty's small print is a ruling that gives new rights to EU leaders to overturn decisions made by Britain's Immigration and Asylum Tribunal.

Thousands of failed asylum seekers will now be able to take their cases to the European Court of Justice in Strasbourg where the final say will be handed to unselected bureaucrats in Brussels.

European Union leaders are expected to sign the treaty at noon today in Lisbon - with Gordon Brown, who is flying in later today, expected to sign at about 3pm.

Neil O'Brien, who heads the I Want A Referendum campaign, claimed last night: "By signing us up to the rejected Constitution, Gordon Brown is giving EU courts the right to hear asylum cases.

"This could mean that decisions made by UK courts to deport failed asylum seekers will be overturned by Brussels."

Almost 170,000 deportation cases are already brought before the Immigration Tribunal every year, with each case usually lasting around two years.

Giving failed asylum seekers powers to take their cases to Europe will cost the taxpayer millions of extra pounds as each case now already costs an average of £18,000.

The move drew a furious reaction from Tory leader David Cameron who has accused the Prime Minister of 'betraying' the British public after ditching plans to hold a referendum.

"Today Gordon Brown will betray every good thing he claimed to stand for when he became Prime Minister," Cameron told the Sun.

"He said he would trust the British people and consult them more. He doesn't even have the guts to put it to the British people."

The news emerged after Brown was accused of political cowardice after it was confirmed that he will miss today's lavish signing ceremony for the new European treaty.

He will arrive in Lisbon too late and will have to add his name some time after the other EU leaders.

Neocons Revise WMD Entry on Wikipedia Propaganda Portal

It would be easy to shrug off the Wikipedia propaganda portal if not for the fact the online “encyclopedia” gets preferential treatment for the mega-search engine, Google.

“Hitwise put together some data which shows the increase of Google traffic to Wikipedia over the past year and reveals that Google downstream traffic to Wikipedia is up 166% year over year,” explains Loren Baker, editor of the Search Engine Journal. “Hitwise data showed that for the week ending Feb 10, 2007, 70% of Wikipedia’s upstream visits came from search engines, with 50% from Google alone.” In short, chances are high you will be directed to Wikipedia for any number of searches, for instance information on the weapons of mass destruction scam unleashed by the neocons and serving as a pretext to invade Iraq and slaughter well over a million people.

In fact, this is precisely what happened back in 2005, according to Nick Farrell of the Inquirer. Wikipedia “has been edited by a Bush friendly member of the US House of Representatives,” in other words a neocon, reports Farrell. “Apparently the person was so concerned that people no longer bought the story about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that he or she took to tampering with the Whackypedia entry.” Of course, since just about any miscreant can “edit” a “Whackypedia entry,” it may not considered “tampering,” not exactly.

The entry was edited by someone with a House of Representatives IP address to make the bizarre claim that there was a link between the terrorist organization al Qaeda and the Iraq government.

The fact that no link has ever been found, other on Whackypedia, has been a source of embarrassment for the Bush administration. Parts of the article which show proof that there were no links have been watered down by the use of the words “it is claimed”. Thus a statement like “the sky is blue”, has become the “sky is blue it is claimed”.

There are also comments justifying Mr. Bush’s actions which at the time were made on the fiction that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

The revision was made in 2005 but has only come to light now that software can tell who has been attempting to mess with your mind on Wackypedia.

One has to wonder how reliable an encyclopedia is when it peddles government propaganda in an almost Orwellian manner and forces people who disagree with it to ‘disappear’ from history.

Incidentally, this fallacious claim, easily debunked, was disseminated repeatedly by the corporate media, so it is not exactly correct to that it was exclusive to the Wikipedia propaganda portal, a favorite watering hole for the likes of the CIA, Republican Party, the Church of Scientology, ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical, Diebold, Boeing, the Israeli government and others.

In the final Republican debate before the 2008 primaries, Congressman Ron Paul slammed the destruction of the dollar, warning that inflation was wiping out the middle class, while also pointing out that Americans did not need to reduce their standard of living so long as a foreign policy of funding a ballooning empire was changed.

"The most sinister of all tax is the inflation tax and it is the most regressive - it hits the poor and the middle class," said the Congressman.

"When you destroy a currency by creating money out of thin air to pay the bills, the value of the dollar goes down and people get hit with a higher cost of living - it's the middle class that is being wiped out - it is the most evil of all taxes," he added.

Speaking on the issue of the economy, Paul said that America was in the midst of a currency crisis because it had spent well beyond its means attempting to maintain an empire, but that didn't mean the American people should sacrifice their living standards to foot the bill.

"I think it's absolutely unnecessary to sacrifice, we want to give people more freedom, more chance to spend their own money - we can cut by looking at our foreign policy, we maintain an empire which we can't afford - we have 700 bases overseas, we are in 130 countries - we cut there - and then we have a better defense of this country and the people get that money and get to spend it here at home," said Paul.

With the debates over, the focus now shifts to this weekend's massive fundraising drive in the guise of the 2007 Tea Party.

Betting analysts predict that the Congressman is set to make $6-10 million on one day - the 16th - which would eclipse John Kerry's $5.7 million in one day record.
