A senior official told ABC the concern of a new terror attack is higher than it has been in some time.

A small al-Qaeda terror cell is on its way to the United States or may already be here, ABCNews.com’s “The Blotter” reported last night, citing unnamed senior U.S. intelligence officials.
The White House has scheduled an multi-agency meeting for tomorrow afternoon to address the intelligence about a possible new threat, ABC reported.
“It suggests they have information that the cell or cells . . . want to attack a government facility,” Brad Garrett, a former FBI agent and ABC News consultant, said.
ABC said the information gleaned from suspects in the recent unsuccessful firebomb attacks in London, specifically their use of the Internet, provided clues that has helped intelligence officials decode other e-mails that had initially been deemed unimportant but are now taking on new significance.
The attacks also have provided important new clues about possible al-Qaeda terror tactics.
A senior administration official told ABC that the level of concern of a new terror attack is now higher than it has been in some time, and that the White House meeting planned for tomorrow is one of several that are being convened over new intelligence and as a result of what happened in London.
Last week, ABC reported that U.S. officials have received intelligence that al-Qaeda is planning a “spectacular” attack in the United States this summer.
